← Canvas MD Exporter for ChatGPT
Canvas MD Exporter for ChatGPT is a local browser extension that helps users
download the currently visible ChatGPT Canvas or document content as a
Markdown .md file.
This extension does not collect, sell, transmit, or share any user data.
When the user clicks the extension button, the extension reads the currently visible ChatGPT Canvas or document content in the active browser tab and converts it locally into a Markdown file. All processing happens inside the user's browser.
The extension does not send document content, chat content, account information, authentication tokens, cookies, or browsing history to any external server. It makes no network requests of its own.
The extension requests only the permissions necessary to (a) read the active
tab when the user invokes the extension (activeTab, scripting) and
(b) save a local Markdown file (downloads). It requests no host
permissions, no cookies, no browsing history, and no storage.
The extension runs only when the user actively clicks the extension button (or uses its keyboard shortcut). It has no background activity and does not monitor browsing.
Any future version that changes data handling will update this policy before release.
